Deadline
May 15, 2009
All individuals involved in
scientific and policy/management
activities that support the future
management of the Gulf of Maine are
invited to submit titles and
abstracts (maximum 400 words) under
the appropriate symposium theme for
consideration as an oral or poster
presentation.
Notification
of paper acceptance for the
symposium and announcement of the
program will be available June 15
2009.
The final abstracts are due to the
Symposium Secretariat by July 31,
2009.
All abstracts, both oral and poster,
and workshop conclusions will be
published in the book of Symposium
Proceedings. A selected number of
papers will be eligible for
publication, following peer review,
in a symposium volume.
The deadline
for manuscripts for publication is
October 30, 2009.
This conference is being planned to
have successful poster and paper
sessions. Submissions may be
re-assigned to either poster or
paper, and both are eligible to be
considered for publication in the
symposium volume.
Oral
presentations: Each oral
presentation will be assigned a
total of 15 minutes including a
12-minute talk and a 3-minute
discussion period. Due to the number
of sessions and presentations, this
time cannot be extended.
Poster
presentations: It is
hoped that most poster sessions will
be closely linked to oral sessions,
although a limited number may be
directly integrated into an oral
session or organized as a
stand-alone evening session at the
discretion of the session chair.
Our goal is to provide high quality
poster sessions that are equal to
oral sessions in their ability to
provide exposure, participation and
feedback. We will try to accommodate
various alternative poster mediums
such as video, computer or Internet
link; however, any additional costs
of providing such services will be
the responsibility of the
presenters.
Submit Your Abstract
Abstracts for the symposium are no longer being accepted. Those that submitted abstracts by May 15th will be notified of their acceptance by June 15th, 2009. Thank you.
